Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21 1982. Maggie Grace is an American actress best known for her role as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV show Lost. After her parents' divorce the actress left Worthington in Ohio and moved in Los Angeles. Though she struggled financially in 2001, her debut came in the role of Rachel's Room's principal character. In 2002, she was nominated for a Young Artist Award with her part as the 15-year-old murder victim Martha Moxley. Grace Rutherford's character in Lost from 2004 to 2005 was nominated for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace quit the show in 2005 to pursue the role of a greater part in movies, and had a role in the film Taken alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. The actress starred in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in both 2007 and Taken (2008) with Liam Neeson. She reprised this role in Taken 2 (2013) and Taken 3 (2015). She also played Alice as Alice in Malice in Wonderland which is the modern-day version from Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace played the role of Shannon in two more episodes of Lost including the series finale. The year was 2013, and she was a guest in the sixth episode of Californication. The actress portrays Faith as a groupie, as well as a model for actors. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She also worked with her brother in 2001's popular movie Donnie Darko. Her next roles were in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, both 2002 and Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was praised by critics for her performance as the main character of Secretary (2002) which is the erotic drama about romance as well as Sherrybaby (2006). In 2006, she was also nominated by her fellow actors for the Golden Globe Award. Following a string of commercially successful movies in 2006 such as World Trade Center she received wider recognition for playing Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008). Following her acclaimed performance as a mother who is not married in Crazy Heart (2009), she earned the Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In the following years she appeared in comedy and dramas: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011 and Won't Back Down 2012. In addition to her role as a Secret Service agent, she also appeared on screen in White House Down (2013) and Frank (2014). One of her most recent roles include as the main character The Kindergarten Teacher The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). In 2021 Gyllenhaal was able to make her writing and directing debut with the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter for which she was awarded The Lost Daughter the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
